Americans dispose off 40% of the food that is produced in the U.S. – while nearly 1 in 7 people struggle to get enough to eat every day according to Feeding America.

Robert Lee, co-founder of the non-profit Rescuing Leftover Cuisine (RLC), considers that it’s possible to solve both of these issues at the same time.

He is working with a group of volunteers to collect edible leftover food from restaurants, and giving it to homeless shelters.

Robert’s RLC mission has spread all over the country and his commitment for reducing food waste start making a difference.
